Skin tags

Skin tags are soft, harmless growths that often appear in skin folds: neck, armpits, under the breasts, and groin. We remove them quickly and cleanly in the office.

What it is.

Skin tags (acrochordons) hang from the skin on a tiny stalk. They're unrelated to skin cancer, but they can catch on clothing or jewelry.

Who it affects.

They're more common with age, in areas of friction, in pregnancy, and in patients with insulin resistance or diabetes.

How we treat it.

Skin tags are removed in seconds with snip excision, electrocautery, or cryotherapy. Most patients have multiple tags treated at the same visit.
